Recordings of Bible stories and christian songs in Hausa and other less commonly taught languages can be found at the website of Global Recordings Network (GRN), a Christian organisation that wants to “communicate the gospel of Jesus Christ, through audio recordings, to all peoples in their own language.”Here is a link to one of the Hausa recordings:

Can you recognize which story is told?

You can find more audio files at the website of Global Recordings Network

You can also download a free Audio New Testament at http://www.faithcomesbyhearing.com/store/languageconfig?selected=90

You’ll have to download a download manager first. The whole NT is almost 24 hours long!

Thank you for the addition. The download will take a while: each chapter is one file, so it is 261 files altogether. But it is well worth it, as you can listen to Bible stories with nice background music. For Hausa learners, this is a good exercise in listening comprehension.

At the Hausa section of Talking Bibles International you can listen to another version of the Hausa New Testament. Download is not possible there, but you can listen to it while you are online (and record it with an audio recorder).

I forwarded the link to my cousin who converted to christianity a couple of years ago. She liked it.

    Thanks.
